Persian Garden is a site-specific installation that delves into themes of resilience and protection, reflecting how wounds and hardships shape both body and soul. The piece features thorny stalks that extend from the floor to the ceiling, crafted from glass-like materials that catch the light with a hint of danger. The absence of blossoms emphasizes the stark, rough, sand-coated thorns, evoking both vulnerability and strength. This forest of thorns embodies a haunting beauty, creating a sense of unease while inviting contemplation. This installation is a prototype, developed with the support of the Artist Opportunity Grant from the Ohio Arts Council.
